Set up to look like a file folder with all of Sister Mary Stigmata's information on Elwood, Jake, and the band, from earliest childhood at St. Helen of the Blessed Shroud all the way to their arrest records and news clippings. All done in facsimile form, as if copied (in color, even) from the original paperwork.The title page is a summons ordering the author to answer in court for printing Sister Mary Stigmata's personal files as a book. Sister Mary is suing for $1,000,000. Quirky, amusing, and quite in the spirit of the movie. Book is in good/very good condition, with some shelfwear along the edges. The tail of the spine shows a moderate rubbing and loss of color; there is a mild hinge crease on the front cover. Spine is uncreased, unbroken. Corner dings. For some reason, the bindery evidently cut the cover just a fraction short on the long front edge, so that a shred of the text block is visible, but there is no damage or looseness to the binding. No interior markings, store stamps, or dog-eared pages. There is a bound-in folded-in-four poster of some kind in place, still bound in, so I can't really tell you what it is. From what I can see from peeking inside, it's a glossy poster advertising a Blues Bros. concert at the Palace Hotel ($2.00 cover charge). There's also a bound-in single sheet poster for the Palace Hotel. If you've always wondered about Elwood's childhood nightmares and how he felt about breakfast, this is the book that can tell you.
