Grand Cabinet of Curiosities, known as The Leamington Museum, sold by Mr. Hodgson. Edmund Kean engaged by Elliston to play Shylock at the Old Theatre, on Saturday, September 23. The pit on this occasion was lined with green baize and appro-priated to box company. Prices: Boxes, 7s. ; upper ditto, 5s. ; gallery, 3s. Rev. Henry Forster Burder, MA. , Fellow and Philosophical Tutor, Hoxton Academy, London, preached at the Leamington Chapel in September. Collections, realising 20, were made towards liquidating the debt of 800 remaining on the building. 1820. --At a public meeting held in Bissets room, Clemens Street, on September 27th--Mr. Matthew Wise in the chair--it was unani-mously resolved That a Paving and Lighting Act, under Proper Conditions and Restrictions, would be highly bene-ficial to the interests of Leamington. The following Committee was appointed: B B. Greatheed, John Tomes, Matthew Wise, Edward VTilles, John Russell, R. W. Elliston, R. Hooton, W. G. Elliston, J. Campion, W. Hunter, B. Smart, Mr. Booth, T. Wilkinson, M. Copps, R. Hopton, Joseph Stanley, Mr. Thompson, James Bisset, J. Brookhouse, Mr. Dean, Mr. Finlow, Mr. Kinsnell, J. Edwards, John Russell (Bath Hotel), John Williams (Regent Hotel), to report to a future meeting. Mrs. and the Misses Elliston gave their lirst annual ball at the Assembly Room, October 18.
