La construcción del discurso en la traducción de textos inglés-español: En la presente obra, el autor investig? cómo construyen el discurso los traductores. Para esto, se enfoc? en la forma como los traductores traducen la estructura supraoracional denominada tríada as? como en averiguar si los traductores alteran o no la estructura del discurso dada en el texto origen y el efecto que tiene la alteración de la misma. Puesto que se considera que el traductor participa activamente en una interacción al leer el texto origen y al escribir el texto término, el investigador se interes? por conocer cómo se refleja el traductor en su traducción. Los resultados del análisis indican que, en el proceso de crear el texto término, en algunos casos, el traductor mantiene la estructura del texto origen, mientras que en otras, la altera. En la investigación, se hall? evidencia de que la falta de planificación del cambio estructural indujo a cometer errores de traducción. Se encontr? además que, en el proceso de hacer suyas las ideas del texto origen y reexpresarlas, el traductor deja una huella de su presencia en el texto término, como consecuencia de su interacción, lo cual se refleja en una toma de posición por parte de este frente a las ideas del texto origen.
