This book is a theoretical study of the cosmological system of the Kgaga, a Sotho-speaking Lowveld people. The study was prompted by a desire to understand the values and symbols that underlie the Sotho worldview in general, the picture that the Kgaga have developed about the world they live in and the way they conceptualize the existential problems of their daily life. The major emphasis is on their idea system as a cultural pattern, a traditional system which, although abstracted from the time flow of social change, nevertheless has to accommodate a widening frame of reference as the Kgaga are drawn into the modern world. Paperback, Label: Wits University Press, Wits University Press, Product group: Book, Published: 1981-12-31, Studio: Wits University Press, Sales rank: 10569633.
