This study found that the incidence of surgical site of infection in orthopaedic department in Benghazi Medical Center is 38.7 . And the bacteria that cause surgical site infections are as following : Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aerogenosa, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Klebseilla spp., Proteus spp., Streptococcus pyogens, Acinetobacter.
