Clipping is one of the simplest techniques, but this method introduces distortion to the transmitted signal due to the clipping of signal itself and Selective Mapping is the distortionless method for PAPR reduction. In the method of clipping the high peaks of the OFDM signal prior to passing it through the power amplifier.the book demonstrates the combination of two techniques i.e. clipping & SLM named as hybrid technique for the further reduction of PAPR. 56 pp. Englisch.
