By his second wife, Henrietta, daughter of Edward Blount of Blagdon, in the county of Devon, Esq; and sister to the present Duchess of Norfolk, he had one son named Edward, and a daughter named Anne. And the said Philip their father died Jan. 3, 1749-50. This noble Duke is descended from Thomas de Brotherton, Earl of Norfolk, fifth son of King Edward I. The Earl of Surrey, general of the English army, his Grace s ancestor, obtained that decisive victory over the Scots at Flodden Field, anno 1513, wherein King James IV. of Scotland lost his life.
