Following a period of policy harmonization, the EU has reached a crucial stage in the development of a new Common European Asylum System. This paper wants to point out the position of the finish population and its government to that topic. The finish government wants to protect refugees and asylum seekers and also wants to help the EU to get more closely together to manage the asylum procedure in a more efficient way, but the finish government doesn't want to disadvantage its proper inhabitants. Dieses Paper wurde verfasst, um den Standpunkt von Finnland zum Thema Asyl innerhalb der EU zum Zeitpunkt 2014 zusammenzufassen, um im Anschluss innerhalb des Projekts als Vertreter Finnlands innerhalb der von den Studierenden modellarisch nachgestellten Europäischen Kommission zum Thema Asylpolitik zu diskutieren und abzustimmen. Das Ziel des Projekt war es, dass die Studierenden einen Einblick in das Policy Making der Europäischen Union bekommen und es sozusagen in einem Selbstversuch direkt miterleben. (Jeder Studierende hat ein Land der EU vertreten und hat im Kurs in dieser Rolle agiert).
