This book is an attempt to highlight the trends in the access and use of scholarly electronic journals by faculty members at Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE), Tanzania. The book analyses the level of awareness of electronic journals, frequency of use of electronic journals, reasons for use of electronic journals, pattern of use of electronic journals, perception on the usefulness and ease of use of electronic resources, methods used to locate electronic journals and the criteria used to evaluate electronic information resources. Key findings of the study reveal that, there is still a low level of access to and use of scholarly electronic journals amongst faculty members, while search engines such as Google are frequently consulted. Moreover, the book succinctly explains factors influencing usage of scholarly electronic journals by faculty members with some constructive suggestions for improving access to and utilization of scholarly electronic journals.
