Ra'anana is bordered by Kfar Sava on the east and Herzliya on the southwest. It has been named the city with the highest quality of life in Israel and the safest city in the Middle East. Ra'anana was founded in 1921 by the Ahuza Alef Society of New York, one of several societies formed in the United States to purchase land in Palestine and establish Jewish agricultural plantations.
