Neuware - The aim of this study is to evaluate the Business Performance (BP) of Health Maintenance Organization in Port Harcourt Metropolis. The study defined four research objectives, questions and hypotheses. A survey of 154 employees of twelve Health Maintenance Organisations (HMOs) was carried out. Using the responses of 80 respondents, (53.3% return rate). The analysis showed that the level of lowering of operating cost by the HMOs is significantly high (62.0%), the level increase in revenue generation by HMOs is significantly high (69.0%), the level of customer acquisition by HMOs is significantly high (70.0%) and the level of business communication is high (55.3%) it is concluded that the HMOs used in this study are on lower operating costs, strong customer base, operating liquidity and high communication. It was recommended that the managers in HMOs should build more business performance strategies to complement the ones studied here. 108 pp. Englisch.
