Tragically, they didn t just eliminate their initial targets. They went far beyond their original plans, and millions of innocent civilians also became their victims. My family lived through this gruesome and horrifying ordeal, and this book is our story of how we all managed to survive the Red Khmer and remain together. About the Author Bun Phuong was born in Kampuchea (current day Cambodia) just when the Khmer Rouge begin to gain momentum to take over the country. In 1984, he and his family were chosen to come to America. Bun is currently a software and business intelligence developer in Massachusetts. He lives there with his wife, Ral Sao, and their four children, Jennifer, Calvin, Carter, and Colton.
