Poetry Playground is a two-section book of poems full of the innocence of a child and nature. You will find the first section to be a lighter side of silly, quirky and innocent poetry that I wrote over the years of raising my children. Scary Nights Things that scare me……bumps and bangs of the night That wakes me up in a deadly fright With no one around, I lie with my eyes peeled wide Listening to all the bumps of the night Spirits fly around me My skin is ice cold Shivers up and down my spine Poetry Playground is a two-section book of poems full of the innocence of a child and nature. You will find the first section to be a lighter side of silly, quirky and innocent poetry that I wrote over the years of raising my children. Scary Nights Things that scare me……bumps and bangs of the night That wakes me up in a deadly fright With no one around, I lie with my eyes peeled wide Listening to all the bumps of the night Spirits fly around me My skin is ice cold Shivers up and down my spine Makes me feel old But the darkness is all too big As the night continues to creep in I hear in the wind, a twig As it scratches my window I hear a moan so low I lie awake waiting for light of dawn to come Wishing I had a chum Instead, all I hear are more Bumps and bangs of the night Playing their games so light Now dawn has appeared, I am sure The bumps and spirits are gone My day must move on I find myself all tired and cranky With it only being me I am trying to gain the speed I need To get my daily chores done Is no fun So a nap will be my friend Once more I lay my head down to sleep For no fear of bumps or spirits to creep They are all too tired to play The early evening hours roll in I just laugh at the silly thoughts dancing in my head Waiting patiently to head to bed Knowing those little visitors Are waiting just for me Waiting to play their game To scare the death out of me I know they will be back Oh please! Someone help me! They are coming, Coming for me! Then you will be taken on a walk through nature through the eyes of the poet and her love for it. God's Hugs Love what nature has to offer The mountains are God's hugs The rivers are His tears The flowers are His blessings to us The winds are His arms wrapping around us The sun kissing our cheek with His love. I have shared some of my deepest love and thoughts about the abundance of beauty in all aspects of a child and the world of nature. Lieferzeit 1-2 Werktage.
